Emily Bouchard founded www.Blended-Families.com in 2003 and is committed to providing tools and strategies to dramatically improve relationships and bring a greater sense of peace and well-being to blended families.

A leading expert in the field, Emily has been featured on numerous TV and Radio shows including The Today Show and NPR, and has been quoted in print around the world, in publications such as Newsweek and The New York Times.

Emily became a stepdaughter at age fifteen when her widowed father remarried her stepmom. Years later, at age thirty, Emily became a loving stepmother and mentor to two young women who were fifteen and seventeen years old at the time she entered their lives.

Emily has intimate knowledge of the special challenges of parenting in a blended family. She learned “in the trenches” what works and what does not! She is passionate about sharing her wisdom with other parents and professionals who want the very best for their families and clients.

Emily has over twenty years of experience in working with children, teens, couples and families. She earned a B.A. with honors in an individualized major in Child Development from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
